Journey’s going on Tour and Bringing Friends!
As if Journey going on tour this month wasn’t enough, they’re now bringing along a host of friends that are sure to give concert-goers a blast from the past, and maybe even some new stuff along the way, too.
The guests that will be joining tour along the way are 80s superstar Pat Benatar, Loverboy, and a Canadian band, Night Ranger. It was originally announced that Pat Benatar would be accompanying Journey for the entire tour, however that was before those dates were finalized. Now they have announced that for their Canadian dates only, Night Ranger will be replacing Benatar as the accompanying act.
In total, Journey will be performing over 50 dates around the United States and Canada, and it all begins on Saturday at July 21 in San Bernardino, California. Journey is a band that made their footprint as being one of the biggest names in music in the early 70s and ever since that time they’ve gone through just about as many band members as they’ve had hits. Along this tour, original members Neal Schon and Ross Valory will be there, as well as new members Jonathan Cain, Deen Castronovo, and Arnel Pineda.
Tickets went on sale Friday, July 20, 2012. For a full listing of tour dates, you can find them on the Journey tickets page on Stub.com.
