Jordan-Higgins wins by 3 in Kansas
Mayetta, KS (SportsNetwork.com) – Olivia Jordan-Higgins closed with a 5-under 67 on Sunday to win the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Charity Classic by three strokes.
Jordan-Higgins, who won for the first time on the Symetra Tour, finished at 12-under-par 204 at Firekeeper Golf Course.
She birdied three of four holes from the third to jump to 10-under. Jordan- Higgins later birdied the eighth and 11th, but she gave one of those shots back when she bogeyed the 14th.
Jordan-Higgins birdied the par-4 17th to seal her 3-stroke win.
Min Lee (67), Mallory Blackwelder (68) and Sara-Maude Juneau (68) shared second place at minus-9. Wei-Ling Hsu shared the lead entering the final round, but closed with a 1-over 73 and slid into fifth place at 8-under 208.
Becca Huffer, who shared the lead with Hsu after two rounds, faltered to a 2- over 74 and dipped into a tie for eighth.
