Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) – The Winnipeg Jets placed forward Evander Kane on injured reserve Thursday with an undisclosed injury.

Kane, who spent time on injured reserve earlier this season due to a lower- body injury, missed practice on Thursday to meet with doctors.

The 23-year-old was surprisingly scratched from Tuesday’s game against the Canucks in his hometown of Vancouver, a decision that was reportedly made due to a locker room incident.

Kane, who has been tied to numerous trade rumors over the past few seasons, has posted 10 goals and 22 points over 37 games this season.

Winnipeg also recalled forward Patrice Cormier from its AHL affiliate in St. John’s.

Cormier has tallied three assists in nine games this season for the Jets.
