Jets bring in first-round pick Ehlers
Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) – The Winnipeg Jets agreed to terms with 2014 first-round pick Nikolaj Ehlers on a three-year, entry-level contract on Tuesday.
Ehlers posted 104 points (49G, 55A) over 63 regular-season games with the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 2013-14. He added 11 goals and 17 assists in 16 postseason contests.
The 18-year-old native of Denmark, who stands 5-foot-11 and 163 pounds, was taken with the ninth overall pick in June’s draft.
