Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical Like You’ve Never Seen it Before!

If you love heart stopping musical moments, you won’t want to miss the newest musical touring across the US, Jekyll & Hyde.  This is a tale based off Robert Louis Stevenson’s original work, but it’s unlike any of the versions you may have seen before.  It will have its official revival on Broadway during April 2013, but it is first touring to 25 cities across the US.  Don’t miss your chance to see this musical while it is in your own hometown!

The all-star cast includes Constantine Maroulis, Deborah Cox, and Teal Wicks.  If Constantine sounds familiar, then you may be a reality TV fan as the singer was in the top 10 on American Idol during the show’s fourth season.  He was also a leading character in the musical Rock of Ages, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award.  Will his new role as the title character in this musical finally win him the recognition he deserves?  Only time will tell, and you can say you were there to see it!

Deborah Cox, who will be playing the character of Lucy Harris, is one of Canada’s most beloved R&B singers.  She has won numerous awards and is most well known in the US currently for her hit “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here”.  Teal Wicks needs no introduction for those who are fans of the musical Wicked, as she played Elphaba for eight months to glowing reviews.  She now picks up the role of Emma Carew in Jekyll & Hyde.

This is a dark tale, a love story, and a classic.  Dr. Jekyll is a man driven by his work, driven so hard that he begins to experiment on himself.  His latest breakthrough should have helped solve humanities biggest ills–instead, it unleashes a darkness in the doctor.  A darkness with the name of Mr. Hyde.  What fate lies in wait for the good doctor, his fiancée Emma, the kind heart of Lucy, and the vicious Mr. Hyde?  It is a tragic, yet beautiful tale, and one you won’t want to miss.  Be sure to book your tickets early as you won’t want to miss this production that may very well be tomorrow’s big entertainment story.
