Jazz waive Dahntay Jones
Salt Lake City, UT (SportsNetwork.com) – The Utah Jazz waived veteran swingman Dahntay Jones and guard Jack Cooley on Tuesday.
Jones, who was signed by Utah on Sept. 25, last played during the 2012-13 season with Dallas and Atlanta, averaging 3.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in 78 games that season.
The 10-year veteran owns career averages of 5.6 points and 1.8 rebounds over 589 games with Memphis, Sacramento, Denver, Indiana, Dallas and Atlanta.
Cooley signed as a free agent with the Jazz on Aug. 19 and spent time with Trabzonspor in Turkey during the 2013-14 season after playing four seasons at Notre Dame.
