Indians sign Chen to minor league deal
Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – The Cleveland Indians signed veteran pitcher Bruce Chen to a minor league contract on Wednesday.
Chen has spent the last six seasons with the Kansas City Royals, posting a mark of 47-43 with a 4.53 ERA in 156 games (113 starts). He made only 13 appearances last year.
The 37-year-old Chen is 82-80 with a 4.58 ERA in 398 career games (225 starts) with 10 teams since debuting with the Atlanta Braves in 1998.
