Carrasco was sent back down to the minors after giving up seven runs — six earned — on 10 hits over just 3 1/3 innings during the Indians’ 9-4 loss to the Tigers on Saturday.
The right-hander fell to 0-4 with a 9.10 ERA in six starts for the Indians this season.
Guilmet went 2-4 with 16 saves and a 2.32 ERA in 34 appearances with Columbus this year.
Cleveland also transferred catcher Lou Marson to the 60-day disabled list.
