Indians designate McAllister, promote Holt
Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – The Cleveland Indians have designated pitcher Zach McAllister for the purposes of optioning him to Triple-A Columbus and recalled outfielder Tyler Holt.
McAllister, 26, started and earned a no-decision in Thursday’s 6-5 loss to Seattle. The right-hander has a 5.91 ERA in 14 outings for Cleveland this season.
The 25-year-old Holt was batting .317 in 57 games for Columbus.
