Hurricanes place Semin on IR
Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Carolina Hurricanes forward Alexander Semin was placed on injured reserve Thursday.
The Hurricanes said Semin had a lower body injury. He missed Monday’s game against New Jersey and did not practice Wednesday in preparation for Thursday’s contest in Tampa.
Semin has just one goal and five assists in 21 games.
The Hurricanes activated defenseman Brett Bellemore off injured reserve. Bellemore had missed seven games with a lower body injury. He had three assists in 13 games before going on injured reserve Nov. 26.
