New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Cleveland Browns star wide receiver Josh Gordon had his suspension reduced to 10 games after the NFL and the NFL Players Association announced Friday the finalized agreement to changes in their substance abuse and performance enhancing substances policies.

Gordon has already served two games of his penalty and will be eligible to return in Week 12 for a road game against the Atlanta Falcons.

“We are aware of the new NFL policy related to the reduction of Josh Gordon’s suspension to 10 games,” Browns general manager Ray Farmer said. “We will continue to support and work with him under the NFL guidelines throughout this process. Our team’s focus right now remains on preparing for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.”

Gordon pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while impaired stemming from an arrest in North Carolina in July.

Due to the new policy, free agent wide receiver LaVon Brazill will be eligible to return after 10 games. Wes Welker of the Denver Broncos, Orlando Scandrick of the Dallas Cowboys and Stedman Bailey of the St. Louis Rams were eligible to return to their teams this week.
