New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Calgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano, Ottawa Senators goaltender Craig Anderson and St. Louis Blues right wing Vladimir Tarasenko have been selected as the NHL’s top players for last week.

Giordano earned the First Star after leading the NHL with seven points, scoring two goals with five assists in three games last week. He currently owns a six-game point streak, including four straight multiple-point outings, and leads all NHL defensemen with 18 points this season.

Anderson picked up the Second Star with a brilliant week in net that included a record of 2-0-1 with a goals-against average of 0.65 and a .981 save percentage. He notched his 28th career shutout last Tuesday by stopping 35 shots in a 3-0 win over Minnesota.

Tarasenko was honored as the Third Star, following up his First Star award from the previous week. He posted three goals and three assists in four games last week, notching the shootout winner last Monday in a victory over the New York Rangers before scoring the lone goal in a 1-0 win at New Jersey the following night.
