Giants keep 10 pitchers for wild card game

Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – The San Francisco Giants will have 10 pitchers available for Wednesday’s National League wild card game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Madison Bumgarner will start the contest at PNC Park.

Jake Peavy and Yusmeiro Petit, members of the regular starting rotation, will be available for manager Bruce Bochy, while the remainder of the bullpen will feature lefties Jeremy Affeldt and Javier Lopez along with right-handers Tim Lincecum, Sergio Romo, Jean Machi, Hunter Strickland and closer Santiago Casilla.

San Francisco will also carry three catchers, as Andrew Susac and Guillermo Quiroz will be ready to back up Buster Posey. Outfielders will include Hunter Pence, Gregor Blanco, Juan Perez, Travis Ishikawa and Gary Brown, while the infielders will be Pablo Sandoval, Brandon Crawford, Joe Panik, Brandon Belt, Adam Duvall, Matt Duffy and Joaquin Arias.

The Giants can change the roster for the Division Series if they win Wednesday.
