New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett, New York Jets safety Jaiquan Jarrett and Kansas City’s Anthony Sherman have been selected as the AFC’s top players for Week 10 of the NFL season.

Forsett ended Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s two-week stint as the top offensive player after rushing for 112 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries in the Ravens’ 21-7 win over Tennessee. All but 20 of his rushing yards came in the second half when Baltimore held the ball for more than 20 of the 30 minutes.

Jarrett also helped end Roethlisberger’s run in the Jets’ 20-13 win over the Steelers. He picked up the defensive award after recording a pair of interceptions and a fumble recovery while also making 10 tackles with a sack.

Sherman was tabbed as the top special teams player, notching three tackles while forcing a fumble and recovering the loose ball in Kansas City’s 17-13 win over Buffalo. He forced Bills’ punt returner Leodis McKelvin to fumble and his recovery set up Kansas City’s go-ahead score in the fourth quarter.

Others considered for the offensive award included Denver quarterback Peyton Manning, who threw for 340 yards with five touchdowns in a 41-17 romp over winless Oakland; and Jets quarterback Michael Vick, who threw for 132 yards and two scores to help New York end an eight-game losing streak.

Defensive consideration went to Denver linebacker Brandon Marshall, who had 13 tackles in the win over the Raiders; and Cleveland cornerback Buster Skrine, who posted two interceptions and three tackles in a 24-3 win at Cincinnati.

Baltimore punter Sam Koch was nominated for the special teams award after he averaged 45.3 yards on seven punts, four of which finished inside the 20-yard line, against the Titans.
