Flames place Jones on IR
Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) – The Calgary Flames placed right wing David Jones on injured reserve Thursday with a lower body injury.
The move is retroactive to Oct. 10, the day after Jones’ only appearance in a game this season. He sat out the season opener against Vancouver and had two shots the following game against Edmonton.
Jones is in his second season with the Flames after playing six years with Colorado. He notched nine goals and eight assists for 17 points in 48 games last season.
The Flames recalled forward Josh Jooris from their American Hockey League affiliate in Adirondack to fill the roster spot.
