Farnsworth signs minor league deal with Mets
Flushing, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – The New York Mets signed veteran pitcher Kyle Farnsworth to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Farnsworth, 37, was 3-1 with a 4.70 earned run average in 48 combined relief appearances with Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh last season.
The right-hander has pitched 15 years in the majors for seven teams. In 858 career games, he has a 43-63 record with 54 saves and a 4.26 ERA.
