Falcons’ Jones active, Jackson out vs. Panthers
Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) – Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones is active for Sunday’s winner-take-all NFC South showdown against Carolina but running back Steven Jackson is out.
Jones, who hadn’t practiced since suffering a hip injury against Green Bay on Dec. 8, returned to practice on Friday.
He played last week against New Orleans and caught seven passes for 107 yards.
Jackson did not practice this week because of a quadriceps injury.
The Falcons (6-9) can capture the NFC South title for the first time since 2012 with a win against the Panthers (6-8-1).
