Eskimos ink Sewell to extension

Edmonton, AB (SportsNetwork.com) – The Edmonton Eskimos signed defensive tackle Almondo Sewell to a contract extension on Thursday that will keep him with the club through the 2015 season.

Sewell racked up 39 defensive tackles, eight sacks and one fumble recovery in 15 games for the Eskimos last season en route to being named a CFL All-Star.

The 26-year-old Akron product has compiled 71 defensive tackles and 14 sacks over three CFL seasons, all in Edmonton.
