Edelman, Gronkowski among Pats’ inactives
Foxboro, MA (SportsNetwork.com) – The New England Patriots will rest wide receiver Julian Edelman and tight end Rob Gronkowski for the regular-season finale on Sunday against Buffalo.
With home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs already locked up, the Patriots will keep Edelman out for the second straight week because of a thigh injury. Gronkowski was not listed on Friday’s injury report.
Other inactives for New England on Sunday will be running back Jonas Gray (ankle), linebacker Dont’a Hightower (shoulder), cornerback Brandon Browner (groin) and offensive linemen Dan Connolly (knee) and Sebastian Vollmer (back).
