Eagles place WR Benn on injured reserve

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) – The Philadelphia Eagles officially ended the season of Arrelious Benn, placing the unlucky wideout on injured reserve Wednesday.

Benn tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during practice on Tuesday, the second Birds wide receiver to suffer the injury in training camp.

Benn, who the Eagles acquired from Tampa Bay in the offseason, was on special teams duty when the injury occurred.
