Dodgers place Ryu on DL

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu on the 15-day disabled list with a right hip strain.

Ryu suffered the injury in Wednesday’s game at Atlanta. He missed time earlier this season with inflammation in his left shoulder.

Ryu is 13-6 with a 3.28 ERA in 23 starts this season.

The Dodgers also recalled right-hander Pedro Baez from Triple-A Albuquerque. Baez will be making his fourth stint with the Dodgers this season. He has pitched scoreless relief in three of his four appearances with the parent club.
