Devils’ Severson sidelined with fractured ankle

Newark, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) – New Jersey Devils rookie defenseman Damon Severson is expected to be sidelined for the next 4-to-5 weeks with a hairline fracture in his left ankle.

Severson had played in each of New Jersey’s first 32 games before being a late scratch for Wednesday’s game against Ottawa.

The 20-year-old Manitoba native has four goals and eight assists for 12 points this season.
