Darvish returns for opener against Yankees
Arlington, TX (Sports Network) – Yu Darvish returned from the 15-day disabled list for the Texas Rangers in Monday’s series opener against the visiting New York Yankees.
It’s Darvish first start since July 6, when the right-hander gave up five runs in a 9-5 loss to Houston. He landed on the DL shortly after with a right trapezius strain.
Darvish was 8-4 with a 3.02 ERA and 157 strikeouts in 18 outings prior to the injury.
