Cubs sign Dominican OF Jimenez

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) – The Chicago Cubs signed 16-year-old Dominican outfielder Eloy Jimenez, who is regarded as the top international prospect by Baseball America.

Jimenez reportedly signed for $2.8 million and a $250,000 scholarship plan for college, according to Baseball America.

The 6-foot-4 Jimenez plays in the International Prospect League.
