Cubs place Wright on paternity leave list
San Francisco, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – The Chicago Cubs placed left-handed reliever Wesley Wright on the paternity leave list Tuesday and recalled righty Blake Parker from Triple-A Iowa.
Wright has a 3.18 earned run average in 18 appearances this season. Without him, James Russell is Chicago’s only left-handed option out of the bullpen.
Parker has a 0.77 ERA and eight saves in 12 games for Iowa. He’s made two appearances for the Cubs this season.
The Cubs are in San Francisco for a series against the Giants.
