Cowboys’ Free, Carter ruled out vs. Giants
Irving, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – The Dallas Cowboys will be without offensive tackle Doug Free when they host the New York Giants in an NFC East clash on Sunday.
Free, who hasn’t missed a game since the start of the 2009 season, fractured his foot during Sunday’s 30-23 win at Seattle and is expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks.
Linebacker Bruce Carter will miss his third straight game as he recovers from a thigh injury.
Defensive end Jack Crawford (calf) is listed as doubtful, while quarterback Tony Romo (back/ankle) and running back DeMarco Murray (illness) are listed as probable after fully practicing on Thursday and Friday.
