ChiSox acquire Samardzija from A’s

San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – The Chicago White Sox acquired starting pitcher Jeff Samardzija from the Oakland Athletics in a multi-player trade on Tuesday.

Chicago also picked up pitcher Michael Ynoa in exchange for right-handed pitcher Chris Bassitt, catcher Josh Phegley and infielders Rangel Ravelo and Marcus Semien.
