Chiefs’ Berry set to play vs. Jets
Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) – Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry is listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets after missing the team’s last five contests with an ankle sprain.
Berry hasn’t played since a Week 2 loss at Denver and has been a limited participant in practice all week.
“Eric will play, and we’ll just see how he does, see how he feels,” Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said at his press conference on Friday. “The other guys have done a nice job and Eric’s getting back in to the swing of things and we’re glad he’s back and available.”
Wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin), cornerbacks Jamell Fleming (hamstring) and Chris Owens (knee) and linebacker Josh Martin (hamstring/knee) have all been ruled out for Sunday.
