Chestnut eats 69 hot dogs for record 7th straight title
Brooklyn, NY (Sports Network) – Joey Chestnut broke his own record by downing 69 hot dogs and buns on Thursday to win the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest for a record seventh straight year.
Chestnut topped the record he swallowed in 2009 at the traditional July 4th event to take home the Mustard Yellow International Belt for a seventh straight year.

Nathan’s says the hot dog eating contest has occurred each July 4th except two since 1916, always in Coney Island.
