Cards place Wong on DL
St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) – The St. Louis Cardinals placed second baseman Kolten Wong on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday with shoulder soreness.
In 45 games this season, Wong is batting .228 with a home run, 16 RBI and 14 runs scored. He also leads St. Louis with nine stolen bases.
In a corresponding move, the Cardinals recalled outfielder Shane Robinson from Triple-A Memphis. Robinson is just 5-for-33 in 23 games with the Cardinals this season.
