Cardinals sign LB Benard

Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) – The Arizona Cardinals signed linebacker Marcus Benard on Wednesday and placed linebacker Vic So’oto on injured reserve with a chest injury.

Benard appeared in 25 games with two starts over three seasons with the Cleveland Browns (2009-11) and tallied 11 1/2 sacks and 39 tackles.

His best season was in 2010 when played in 15 games (two starts) and led the Browns with 7 1/2 sacks.
