Cardinals’ Kelly leaves start against Brewers
Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) – St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Joe Kelly left his start against the Milwaukee Brewers with an apparent leg injury on Wednesday.
Kelly laid down a bunt and grabbed his hamstring after getting thrown out at first base to end the fifth inning. He immediately called the team’s trainer and limped off the field.
The right-hander surrendered one run on three hits with two strikeouts in four innings before exiting. Seth Maness took the mound in relief of the injured starter.
