Caps D Green has lower-body injury

Arlington, VA (SportsNetwork.com) – Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green has a lower-body injury and is listed as day-to-day.

Green suffered the unspecified malady during Tuesday’s 4-3 overtime victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The 28-year-old blueliner has posted 11 assists in 19 appearances this season, his ninth pro campaign.

Washington is off until a Friday contest in Detroit.
