Capitals’ Chimera fined for boarding
New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Washington Capitals forward Jason Chimera was fined $4,487 for boarding Oilers defenseman Justin Schultz on Monday.
The penalty — the maximum allowable fine under the collective bargaining agreement — was announced Wednesday.
Chimera was whistled for a minor penalty for boarding with 41 seconds left in Monday’s win.
