Burris signs with RedBlacks
Ottawa, ON (SportsNetwork.com) – Henry Burris wasn’t a free agent for long.
Less than a week after being released by Hamilton, the veteran quarterback signed with the expansion Ottawa RedBlacks on Tuesday.
Burris helped the Tiger-Cats reach the Grey Cup last season before losing to host Saskatchewan. He was let go by Hamilton last Thursday following the team’s signing of Zach Collaros.
A two-time Grey Cup winner with Calgary (1998 and 2008), the 38-year-old Burris ranks fourth all-time in both passing yardage (51,526) and touchdown passes (324) in CFL history.
