Bruins place D Miller on IR

Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) – The Boston Bruins placed defenseman Kevan Miller on injured reserve on Thursday.

Miller, 27, suffered a shoulder injury during Boston’s 4-3 overtime loss to Calgary on Monday.

The University of Vermont product has posted two goals and five assists over 41 games in his second NHL season.

The Bruins also recalled forward Brian Ferlin from Providence (AHL).
