Bruins’ Lucic fined $5,000 for spearing

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic has been fined $5,000 for spearing Detroit Red Wings defenseman Danny DeKeyser during Friday’s Game 1 of their Eastern Conference playoff series.

The incident occurred at 19:55 of the second period. No penalty was assessed on the play.

The Red Wings claimed a 1-0 victory and lead the playoff series 1-0.
