Browns RB Tate out for Week 2
Berea, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – Cleveland Browns running back Ben Tate will miss time with a knee injury suffered in the season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Browns coach Mike Pettine confirmed Wednesday that Tate will miss at least Sunday’s game against the Saints. He declined to confirm a report that Tate will miss 2-to-4 weeks.
Tate carried the ball six times for 41 yards before exiting Sunday’s game.
With Tate out, rookies Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell will carry the load in the backfield.
Pettine also said that tight end Jordan Cameron and linebacker Barkevious Mingo are day-to-day with shoulder injuries.
