Browns’ Pinkston comes off IR
Berea, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – The Cleveland Browns announced Tuesday that the team has activated guard Jason Pinkston from the injured reserve list.
Pinkston, a 16-game starter as a rookie in 2011, was tabbed as Cleveland’s designated to return player after sustaining a significant ankle sprain during the preseason. He also battled medical issues a year ago, as a blood clot in his lung limited him to just six games in 2012.
The 26-year-old had been slated to begin the season as the Browns’ starting right guard prior to his ankle injury.
Cleveland waived offensive tackle Rashad Butler in a corresponding move. The eight-year veteran had seen action in all nine games this season as a backup.
