Broncos’ Harris signs RFA tender
Englewood, CO (SportsNetwork.com) – The Denver Broncos announced Tuesday that cornerback Chris Harris Jr. signed his restricted free agent tender contract.
Another team could have offered Harris a contract and the Broncos would have had the right of first refusal. If the Broncos chose not to match the offer, they would have received a second-round draft pick from that team that signed Harris.
Harris is recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
The 24-year-old has started 27 games over the last two seasons and has registered 191 tackles and seven interceptions in his career.
