Brad Paisley: The New Generation of Country
Brad Paisley is the perfect example of the new generation of country. His songs can make you smile, bring a tear to your eye, give you a big laugh, all while still managing to stay cool even with a country twang. Paisley’s biggest hits have included “He Didn’t Have to Be”, which is a song about the child of a single mother and the stepdad that steps up, and how the boy realizes “I hope I’m at least half the dad, that he didn’t have to be”.
Another big hit was “I’m Gonna Miss Her”, about a man who loves to fish and how his girl gives him the ultimatum that it is her or fishing, which follows with the line, “Well, I’m gonna miss her”. Other songs have included “I Wish You’d Stay”, “Whiskey Lullaby”, “Waitin’ On a Woman” and many more. Besides turning out hit after hit, what has Brad Paisley been up to lately?
If you happen to be a South Park fan then no doubt you caught the April 25, 2012 show which guest starred the country singer in all his animated glory. The best, or worst part depending on if you are a fan of the show, features a duet between Paisley and one of the lead characters Eric Cartman. Besides being animated, Brad Paisley has also been a guest on “Prairie Home Companion”, and has also told fans he has begun recording for his newest album. If that isn’t enough to keep a man busy, it was just recently announced that the singer is to perform at the upcoming CMT Awards along with other big stars such as Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood and Little Big Town.
Not to worry though fans, even with all that Brad Paisley currently has on his plate, he still makes plenty of time to tour! He is currently on the “Virtual Reality Tour 2012” starting May 18 and it runs until October 20, 2012. He also makes stops all across the US. Fans attending the concert will also get to see The Band Perry as well as Scotty McCreery. A triple dose of great music and all for one ticket price. Hear all your favorite songs live and in person when the tour comes to a town near you!
