Brad Paisley Announces 2012 Tour
Fans who have been going back to their roots and finding out just what country music is won’t want to miss Brad Paisley on his “The Camobunga! 2012 World Tour,” which is going to start on January 12 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The tour is to promote his latest album, This is Country Music; but just what does “Camobunga” mean exactly?
The word is a merge of two words that Paisley says he finds appropriate for this tour — camouflage, and cowabunga, the famous surfer term. The two words combined, Paisley says, indicated “a mind-blowing blend of country, fiery 60s surf guitar acrobaticsc, futuristic special effects, retro heart and soul, and mind altering liquid beverages. The spirit of the deep woods meets the breakneck excitement of the California coast.” And the name is also appropriate, given that Paisley has just released the “Camouflage” single from the album.
The first leg of the tour will take Brad all over the United States including stops in Denver, Las Vegas, Spokane, and Baltimore, to name just a few of the stops he’ll be making. This stretch isn’t all that long, with things wrapping up in Knoxville, Tennessee on March 2, 2012. But Brad did just finish the summer leg on September 25; and with it being a World Tour, everyone’s excited the new dates that Brad is sure to add.
