Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have re-signed defensive back Alex Suber.

Terms of the deal for the impending free agent were not disclosed.

Suber started all 18 games last season for the Bombers and tied for the team lead with two interceptions while making 54 tackles and recovering a fumble. He also came up with six special teams tackles.

“Alex is a proven player in this league,” said Bombers general manager Kyle Walters in a statement Monday. “He brings an attitude to the field and is a great athlete on both defense and special teams.”

The Middle Tennessee product has 226 tackles with three interceptions and six fumble recoveries in four seasons with Winnipeg.
