Blues’ Leopold out two months
St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) – The St. Louis Blues announced Monday that defenseman Jordan Leopold will undergo surgery during the week to repair tendon damage in his right hand.
Leopold was injured during Thursday’s 3-2 victory over Calgary. The veteran blueliner is expected to be sidelined a minimum of eight weeks before being reevaluated.
The Blues re-signed Leopold, acquired in a trade with Buffalo last March, to a two-year contract in July. The 33-year-old had recorded his only two points in 13 outings this season during the Calgary game, contributing a pair of assists to the victory.
