Blue Jays’ Reyes exits game with hamstring injury
St. Petersburg, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Toronto shortstop Jose Reyes left the season-opener in the first inning with a tight left hamstring.
Reyes flew out to center in the top of the first and didn’t appear in severe pain despite not running at full speed to first base. The 30-year-old failed to take the field in the bottom of the first and was replaced by Ryan Goins.
Reyes struggled with hamstring issues at the end of spring training and it was uncertain whether he would be ready for Opening Day.
