Blue Jackets activate Murray from IR

Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – The Columbus Blue Jackets activated defenseman Ryan Murray from injured reserve Thursday.

Murray has been plagued by injuries this season, his latest being a high ankle sprain that has kept him out of the lineup since Feb. 6.

The 21-year-old has recorded just one assist in seven games this season.

Murray, drafted second overall by Columbus in 2012, recorded four goals and 17 assists over 66 regular-season games as a rookie in 2013-14.

He will not play in Thursday’s game in Detroit.
