Blue Bombers fire GM Mack; Miller replaces Buchko as CEO

Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have fired general manager Joe Mack following a 1-5 start to the season.

The club also announced that Garth Buchko will no longer serve as CEO and will be replaced by Wade Miller.

Mack joined the Blue Bombers in January of 2010. Winnipeg’s only winning season under Mack came in 2011, when the team claimed first place in the East and earned a spot in the Grey Cup. The Blue Bombers missed the playoffs last season.

Winnipeg went 21-39 during Mack’s time at the helm.
