Blue Bombers bring back Pontbriand

Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed fullback Michel-Pierre Pontbriand on Wednesday.

“Michel-Pierre is a great asset for us as a Canadian player, who understands our league, is a great teammate and locker room guy, and a player who works extremely hard every day,” said Bombers GM Kyle Walters.

The 30-year-old back, who was set to become a free agent next month, posted six catches for 61 yards last season, adding nine tackles on defense.
