Blazers’ Robinson set to become free agent
Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) – The Portland Trail Blazers will not pick up the fourth-year option on Thomas Robinson, making the power forward a free agent in the summer of 2015.
Robinson has failed to carve out a consistent role for himself since Sacramento selected the Kansas product No. 5 overall in the 2012 draft.
He came off the bench in 51 games for the Kings before a midseason trade sent him to Houston, where he made 19 appearances. He averaged 4.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game as a rookie and never built upon those numbers in his lone season in Rip City.
