Bears’ Cutler week-to-week
Lake Forest, IL (SportsNetwork.com) – Jay Cutler is back on the shelf.
The Chicago Bears starting quarterback is considered week-to-week with a high ankle sprain.
Cutler suffered the injury in Sunday’s 21-19 home loss to the Detroit Lions. He had been cleared to play in the critical NFC North showdown after missing a Week 9 contest at Green Bay with a groin injury that was expected to sideline him for a minimum of four weeks.
The Bears also announced Monday that cornerback Charles Tillman suffered a triceps injury against the Lions and has been placed on injured reserve with a designation to return.
However, for Tillman to play again this season, the Bears have to reach the playoffs.
Sunday’s loss to Detroit dropped Chicago to 5-4, one game behind the first- place Lions.
